The theme of September’s meeting is our annual “Evaluation and Humor” evening. Every member who would like to practice a 5 to 7 minute humor speech or a 2-3 minute evaluation is welcome to participate in humor and or evaluation.

Kate was our Presiding Officer

Keith was our Toastmaster and her theme was “Innovation”

Grace offered our “innovation”

Speakers

Carol reviewed the Affordable Health Care Act

Glory gave us her ice breaker

Grace told us about three things she loved

Debbie was our discussion leader – “quality of life vs. quantity of life” the theme

Ron was the General Evaluator

Bob, Frank, Tom, and Lisawere evaluators

Kate was our closer

We had 13 in attendance including guests Passion & Sol.

If you live in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area and are looking for a Toastmaster club to join or just check out, we’d like to welcome you as our guest(no need to RSVP, just show up). Presentation Pros Toastmasters has been helping individuals become better communicators and leaders since 2004.

Not all Toastmaster Clubs are alike. This is the club for you: if you’d like the advantages of a traditional club as well as the opportunity to practice longer presentations, get and give in-depth evaluations, and learn how to lead discussions. The club is open to the community.

Improve your public speaking skills, become a better presenter, or work on your leadership skills with Toastmasters.  Affordable, effective, proven.

Semi-annual dues are modest – less than the cost of a small cup of coffee every week.  For more information on Toastmasters see our about page.

When: Second Monday of every month. 7:00PM to 9:00PM (new hours effective July 2011)

Where: 601 Firestone Road (Airport Administration Building)
