Q: Can I come as a guest?

A: Guests are always welcome.  You can just show up.

Q: How much does it cost to become a member?

A: There is a one time cost of less than $20 for materials and $51.00 every six months for dues. Dues are prorated if you start at a midpoint.

Q: I have no prior experience in public speaking, can beginners join?

A: Yes, most of us started in Toastmasters with no experience.

Q: What are the benefits of becoming a member? 

A: There are many, but one important part of being a Toastmaster is the opportunity to practice 10 specific speaking skills, known as The Toastmasters Speech Series:

  2. Organize Your Speech
  3. Get to the Point
  4. How To Say It
  5. Your Body Speaks
  6. Vocal Variety
  7. Research Your Topic
  8. Get Comfortable with Visual Aids (coming next)

Q: Does Toastmasters offer training in leadership skills?

A: Yes, the most tangible skills we practice are functions we perform in every meeting, and are known as The First Ten Leadership Projects:

  1. Listening

  5. Planning and Implementation
  6. Organization and Delegation
  7. Facilitation
  8. Motivation
