Ron will be our Toastmaster for our annual “humor and evaluation” meeting. Don’t miss it!

Grace will be the chief judge and will explain everything you ever needed to know even if you are afraid to ask.

  • Kate will be the guest speaker for the evaluation contest
  • Everyone (this is very inclusive) is invited to offer a 5-7 minute humorous speech*

And of course bring a guest, or here is your invitation to come as a guest (no need to RSVP, just show up)

*The humor speeches are original material (meaning your creation)  and are usually told in a story format, as opposed to stand-up or far-out tall tales (we’ll do tall tales in the Spring).

Bob was our Toastmaster and his theme was “Dog Days of August “

Grace took us to the garden

Carol helped us understand a dog’s body language

Mikki did a fitness Q&A session

Bob was the Discussion Leader

Maggie was the General Evaluator

Evaluators were Maggie, Kate, Grace and Ron

Mikki was our timer

Bob offered our closer.

Welcome to Presentation Pros Toastmasters.   Our club was founded in 2004 and is open to the community.  If you live in the Santa Barbara/Goleta area and are looking for a Toastmaster club to join or just check out, we would like to welcome you as our guest. Semi-annual dues are modest and include a subscription to the Toastmaster Magazine.

If you are interested in improving your public speaking skills, becoming a better presenter, or working on your leadership skills, Toastmasters is worth considering.  Affordable, effective, proven.

When: Second Monday of every month. 6:30PM to 8:30PM

Where: 601 Firestone Road (Airport Administration Building)
